FROM MOLD TO REPEATABLE PARTS

How Plastic Injection-Molded Toy Parts Are Made

KingDa coordinates mold preparation, resin and color selection, injection molding, part inspection and downstream finishing within one manufacturing workflow.

Process settings depend on part geometry, resin type, wall thickness, color and performance requirements. Before mass production, the team confirms tooling condition, approved material and color references, and sample requirements.

PRODUCTION WORKFLOW

Plastic Injection Molding Process

Each project follows the approved product specification. The exact route changes with the material, structure, decoration, electronics and packaging requirements.

STEP 01

Tooling & Mold Preparation

The mold is prepared against the approved design and sample requirements. Fit, surface condition, gate details, venting and cooling-related items are reviewed before molding trials begin.

Key control: approved tool condition and trial reference

STEP 02

Material & Color Preparation

Specified resin and color references are prepared for the trial or production batch. Handling and drying requirements are set according to the selected material and part specification.

Key control: resin, masterbatch and approved color sample

STEP 03

Injection Molding & Process Control

Machine settings are trialed and adjusted around fill, pressure, temperature, cooling and cycle behavior. Parts are checked before the production run continues.

Key control: repeatable settings and first-piece approval

STEP 04

Trimming, Printing & Decoration

Molded parts are prepared for the required downstream work. Depending on the product, this may include gate trimming, pad printing, surface decoration or other approved finishing steps.

Key control: artwork position, color and surface appearance

STEP 05

Assembly & Packaging Preparation

Components move into sub-assembly or final assembly as required. Fit, movement, sound, light or other product functions are checked before the approved packaging route begins.

Key control: component fit, product function and packing specification

QUALITY CONTROL

Inspection, Testing & Batch Release

Visual, dimensional and functional checks are applied at defined points. Inspection records and approved references help keep repeat orders aligned with the confirmed requirements.

Key control: inspection criteria and retained production records
